So, hello! This is my new blog, because it may be 2019, but in my heart it is still the Internet of 2007. To start off with, a bit of information. I'm a trans woman who is the very early stages of transition. So early that I am not all the way out, so I'm writing under an alias until that changes. It's been a long journey to get to this point, and a long journey yet ahead of me.
Beyond that fact, I'm in a mood to write. For so long I've had so many ideas and thoughts swirling around in my head, but for the most part I haven't written them down. Some of this is laziness, some of it is a chronic case of incoherence, but most of it was I couldn't give it my all in what I wrote. As long as I stayed hidden, only so much could be shown, lest it all come tumbling out.
I have so much to say about politics, pop culture, and my transition. Some of this (but not all) will be in the context of who I am, and the issues I face. OK, I guess the transition stuff will be all about this. As you probably are aware, 2019 is a fraught time for people like me, as well as for every person in this country, and in this world. What I have to say is worth hearing, at least for me to get my thoughts on record and to better understand the challenges I face as I finally start living my life. So please stick around and see what comes next.
